For the first time since 2006, BJHS has qualified a boys team to the state xc meet. Congratulations to the below athletes that were a part of the sectional team. Please come out to support these runners this Saturday at Maxwell Park. They race at 12:30pm.

• Our team banquet will be held on Monday, October 24th from 7 to 8 in the BJHS Cafeteria.
• All family members are invited.
• We ask that each family brings a dessert tray to pass.
• The front doors will be unlocked for entry.
• Please RSVP to Coach Mays by 10/21.

BJHS XC INFO

• Fridays race is at Fairview park in Normal.
• Race Times: GV- 4:30

BV- 4:50
GO-5:15
BO- 5:40
Awards- Immediately follow Boys Open.

• There is not a bus ride back to the school so please pick your runner up by 6:15 at Fairview.

      Info for race on 10/4

• Next Tuesday’s meet will conclude the season for the non sectional roster.
• Girls Race at 4:15 and Boys immediately follow. This meet is just with us and Pontiac.
• We will stop and eat on the way home. Estimated arrival time home is 8pm.
• Jersey turn in for the non sectional roster will be next wed, thurs and fri directly after school.
• The railroad tracks are out so here are the directions to the school.

Turn off on Rt 116, cross Old 66, go straight, you will pass thru a stop sign (Family Video), cross tracks, will be on Reynolds St.  Continue to Vermillion St, turn left, go 2-4 blocks, cross over Vermillion St Bridge until you come to Water St, turn right, follow to Elm St, turn left, go to stop light (Rt 116), turn right, go 1 block, turn left on Morrow St.  You should arrive at the school.

Thanks to all of the parents that sent treats to last Saturdays meet. With such an early morning, and a long day to follow that was  greatly appreciated. Thanks a bunch!!!!

• Students will be dismissed from class at 2:15 for the 2:30 bus.
• The race is at Detweiller Park in Peoria.
• Girls Varsity 4:30, Boys Varsity 5:00, and combined Open at 5:30. (Boys and girls race together in open).
• Awards will immediately follow the Open race.
• We will stop for dinner on the way home. Please send $ with your runner.
• Estimated arrival time home is 8:30pm. We will call when we are 20min away.
